My two cents? You will need more than a lingerie and ” blue eye”. Beyond sex styles and good food, become a harbour for intellectually stimulating conversations.
Be available. Listen to your husband. Cheer him on. Be interesting. Play along…

Don’t just be a wife, be a friend. Pay attention to the things that interest and/or bother him- from official to informal.
Be intelligent enough to realize that when he says Chelsea, he means the football club, not some dry gin.
