How I met my wife – LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT – Part Two

I finished my NYSC in May 2018 but never had Silver’s time nor called her again because I forgot her completely because of my love for Vivian. I came down to my hometown and started an ICT business in June 2018.

I started a relationship with Gift Ojah in September 2018. I loved Gift with all my heart to the point where I even started marriage consultations and inquiries. Because I wanted to marry Gift Ojah, I introduced her to my Mother and so she did also. We started plans for introduction around December 2018.

Silver finished her OND program in Nov/Dec 2018 and went back to Aba in Abia state waiting to start her one year of Industrial Training.

But something strange happen on the 1^st day of January 2019 that almost took my life. I would have been a dead man by now. Gift Ojah left me for another man who claimed to be richer than me (You know girls with money). Gift Ojah broke my heart into an unamendable piece.

From 1^st January 2019 when I discovered that Gift had left me, I wasn’t myself, I was approaching death gradually day by day. Still, in my broken state, Silver’s call came in after that long while during my NYSC. She called to beg for my financial assistance of N10,000.00. I was so angry with her, so I told her I don’t have it and I ended the call because I was heartbroken already.

I have been hoping and praying that Gift Ojah will come back to me. So I invited her to my house, I begged her to please come back to me, but she refused and left my house immediately. Then I consoled myself, gave up on her, and decided to face the reality of life and move on.

On the 18^th of January, 2019, I was so surprised when I heard a beep on my phone, I checked, and behold it was from Silver again. So I quickly called her back, and she called me “My friend”, so we greeted and share pleasantries.

I asked her to forgive me for the way I treated her by ending her last call. I narrated my love story to her starting from Vivian to Gift. I asked her out again, and then she finally accepted to date me on the condition that I will come and visit her in Aba, Abia State. I immediately accepted to come and visit her in Aba on the 28^th of January, 2019.

So I traveled to Aba on the 28th of January, 2019 to fulfill all righteousness. We met, and she was so happy to see me after a long time in school. We hugged and kissed for the first time to show full acceptance. (Our Love was actually destined)

Fast forward: In May 2019, Gift Ojah started apologizing through Whatsapp, Facebook, and even phone calls, but it was too late because Silver had occupied the whole of my small heart. I told her to remember that she broke my heart into pieces that no one could rearrange but my present girlfriend made all the sacrifices to rearrange the few ones she could find around while many parts were missing. So she used that small piece she saw to make a new and small heart for me which she has already occupied and there is no more space for another girl because the heart has become so small.

Note: I am only living with a very small heart. My heart is so small that it can’t love two people.

Fast Forward: We started marriage preparation in March 2020, but because of the COVID-19 lockdown period, I was unable to travel to Aba, Abia state to see her parents.
The arrangements that could be made through phone calls were made pending when the lockdown will be over.

During the lockdown, Silver left school and was staying with me this actually caused her pregnancy which occurred in late March 2020.
The Federal Government relaxed the lockdown in July 2020, so as a sharp guy, I quickly used that July to travel to Aba to finalize all necessary marriage arrangements.

I bought enough drinks in Aba international market, which I used to see all those I needed to see for my acceptance as their son-law. all plans were made and dates for the traditional marriage and Church wedding were fixed.

So, I got married to Silver in the year 2020, traditional marriage on the 1^st of August, 2020 while the church wedding took place on the 16^th of August, 2020.

We welcomed our first child on the 16^th of December, 2020.

So that was how I met my wife (Love at First Sight).

Do you believe in destiny?

Or do you think destiny worked for me?

I don’t really know, but I believe my wife was destined to be mine and mine alone forever.
