The JAMB e-PIN is a necessary tool for registration for candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions.

Many candidates and CBT centre usually find it difficult in buying the JAMB PIN, it is on this note that we have put together this tutorial to help and walk you through the process of how to buy and use the JAMB e-PIN.

Below is a 5 simple step-by-step guide on how to buy JAMB e-PIN for UTME and Direct entry registration.

1. First, Obtain Your NIN:

In line with JAMB’s directive only candidates who have obtained their NIN can register for the JAMB UTME and Direct Entry.

So if you are an aspiring JAMB candidate, rush now to any NIN enrollment centre to obtain your NIN as directed by JAMB. If you have already registered for NIN but you have misplaced it, you can dial *346# using the phone number you used in registering for the NIN to retrieve your NIN.

2. Secondly, Get Your Profile Code:

Haven got your NIN, now you need to get a profile code that will be used in buying the JAMB PIN.

If you have not gotten your profile code, use the method below to generate a profile code for yourself:

SMS ‘NIN’, space, and your 11-digit NIN number to 55019 using any network provider of your choice.

That is, open your phone and head over to message, open the messaging app and compose a new SMS. Write NIN space and your 11-digit NIN number, then send the SMS to 55019. For example, send NIN 91236544419 to 55019.

After sending the message to 55019, you will receive an SMS response with a 10-digit profile code and your name as it appears on your NIN slip.

3. Thirdly, Proceed To Buy the JAMB PIN Online

visit https://myschoolprojects.com.ng/jamb then click on “Buy JAMB UTME e-PIN” if you are a UTME candidate or click on “Buy JAMB DE e-PIN” if you are a Direct Entry Candidate ”.

4. Fourthly, Receive Your JAMB e-PIN:

On the page that appears after step 3, enter the 10-digit profile code you received via SMS and make payment using either bank transfer or online payment using your ATM card. Your JAMB e-PIN will immediately be sent to your Phone number and also displayed on the website.

5. Lastly, Proceed For Registration:

Take your JAMB e-PIN which you have purchased to any JAMB-accredited CBT centre nearest to you for your registration!

Note: The phone number used to get your profile code will automatically be linked to the name supplied by NIMC and used in all communications related to your JAMB registration. So endeavor to use your phone number or a number you can always have access to.
